Dr Carolyn Hackworthy became interested in women’s health when she worked at Nelson Bay and Salamander Bay Medical Centres. She was the only female in the group practice for many years so gained a wide variety of experience in women’s health She has completed the Family Planning Sexual and Reproductive Health course and Implanon insertion and removal training. She regularly attends conferences in women’s health and general medical issues. She is a member of the Australasian Menopause Society.

Other Interests
Carolyn is married with three young adult sons. She enjoys music and plays viola with the NSW Doctors Orchestra plus plays percussion with PCYC Brass Band.
